“Data Science and AI Applied Fundamental Education Program" was accredited
as "Approved Program for Mathematics, Data Science and AI Smart Higher Education, Advanced Literacy Level," by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, MEXT!
On Aug. 24th, 2022, the "Data Science and AI Education Program" of the University’s four faculties* was accredited by the MEXT under the "Approved Program for Mathematics, Data Science and AI Smart Higher Education, Advanced Literacy Level". (Accreditation valid until Mar. 31st, 2027)
Accreditation for the Advanced Literacy Level began this year, and 68 projects that have advanced initiative in this area were certified in the first year of the program.
In 2021, in the program’s first year, KAIT was accredited of its courses university-wide by MEXT as the "Approved Program for Mathematics, Data Science and AI Smart Higher Education, Literacy Level".
This latest accreditation marks the first year of accreditation at both levels.

The "Approved Program for Mathematics, Data Science and AI Smart Higher Education, Advanced Literacy Level" , from the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, is meant to accredit, select, and encourage the systematic education that promotes students' interest in mathematics, data science, and AI development and provides knowledge and necessary techniques to develop practical skills to solve the specific issues/ problems of this field.
A part of the courses required for graduation from the University comprise this program. We will continue to promote education related to mathematics, data science, and AI so that "completion of the Data Science and AI Applied Fundamental Education Program" will be a step toward further advanced learning in specialized fields.
