KAIT, Disaster Resistant Campus
The campus is located at 63 meters above sea level, where the level of groundwater is low, with minimum possibilities of liquefaction, expecting relatively very little shaking at the time of an earthquake. In addition, 17.3% of the buildings were built after the Great East Japan Earthquake (2011), and those built after the Great Hanshin Earthquake (1995) account for 64.5% of the total. Other buildings also provide enough earthquake resistance measures and we proudly remark that it is a strong campus for earthquakes.

- Central Green Park

Located in the center of the campus, this gently rolling open space is very popular. Its lawns and benches are perfect for socializing or relaxing. In addition, two stages can be set up here for such events as school festivals.
- Mainly serves soba and udon noodles, as well as beef bowls and rice with curry, all for around 200 yen.

- Mechanical Engineering and Electrical & Electronic Engineering Research Building

This complex houses the laboratories and other facilities for the Departments of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Information Engineering, and Home Electronics.

- Applied Chemistry Research Building

This research and education base houses the laboratories for the Department of Applied Chemistry.

- Vehicle System Engineering Research Building

This research building contains the laboratories for the Department of Vehicle System Engineering.Located in the center of the campus, this gently rolling open space is very popular. Its lawns and benches are perfect for socializing or relaxing. In addition, two stages can be set up here for such events as school festivals.

- Robotics & Mechatronics Research Building

This building contains the facilities and laboratory of the department of Robotics and Mechatronics. In the workshop on the first floor, there is a life model room with welfare equipment.

- Information Technology Building

This building contains the laboratories and other facilities for the Departments of Information & Computer Sciences, Information Network & Communication, and Information Media. It is equipped with an ultra-high-speed, high-capacity network, full-scale video and sound studios, and various experimental and research facilities related to information technology. There is also a cafeteria (Cafeteria #4) on the 12th floor.
- Enjoy coffee-style dishes including veggie-lunch plates at reasonable prices. From the glass walls, there are commanding views overlooking the city of Atsugi and the richness of nature.

- Applied Bioscience Research Building

Laboratories and practice rooms for the Departments of Applied Bioscience and Nutrition & Life Science are housed here. This center provides opportunities for training in a wide range of biotechnology-related fields at full scale, including a state-of-the-art management nutrition training facility.

- Student Services Building

The first and second floors feature offices that provide support for student life, academic studies, employment counseling and other services. This facility also has the Health Care Center, where students can see the nurse, and the Student Counseling Office where students can consult with the special counselor. There are lecture rooms and lobbies on the third and fourth floors.

- Lecture Building

This complex has about 30 lecture rooms, independent learning rooms, and seminar rooms. Outside, it has a sheltered bus stop. On the first floor, there is the Plant Factory; the vegetables grown there are served in the school’s dining facilities. On this building’s second floor is a cafeteria (Cafeteria #1), with about 600 seats.
- The largest restaurant on campus, offering generous set menus (teisyoku), ramen noodles, rice with curry, and beef bowls at reasonable prices.

The library holds 230,000 books. In addition to the Group Reading Room and Active Learning Room, there are about 630 seats for individual reading. Many students also use the available computer booths for DVD viewing and internet browsing. For research papers and thesis preparation, the library has introduced a system able to search science and technology-related documents from around the world.

- Engineering Education and Research Building

This is a joint research center, consisting of 14 laboratories that conduct cutting-edge technology research, outsourced research from outside the university, and joint research. It also features three student experimentation practice rooms.

- Institute for Advanced Technology

This center concentrates on research and development for practical applications. Its aim is to select promising projects from among the various research programs at Kanagawa Institute of Technology in order to make broad contributions to society.

- Automobile Engineering Building

This facility encompasses the flow of vehicle development, from conceptual design to practical design, manufacture, and product evaluation, centering on automobile performance and safety research. It also functions as a base for research and education, as well as an activity base for the Formula SAE Project and Solar Car Project, both managed by the students.

- Robot Project Building

This facility provides space for advanced classes and student projects. Students work in groups on a spacious floor that is set up as a manufacturing site, where they learn cooperate and nurture their knowledge and skills. The building also has a machine tool room for the production of mechanical parts, which is available to students from all departments.

- Electrical and Chemical Experiment Building

This houses experimental and research facilities for the Departments of Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Applied Chemistry, as well as a circuit design education center that can be used by all undergraduate students. Here, students not only reproduce textbook experiments, but they also develop their ability to plan, design and produce experiments for a given task.

- HEMS (ECHONET Lite) Interoperability Test Center

In this facility of the Smart House Research Center, research is conducted to not only generate and save electricity, but also foster smart energy saving methods through the state’s network management of such elements as the amount of power generation and the amount of stored electricity. The facility has solar panels as models of energy conservation and household storage batteries as models of energy storage. This center also provides and interoperability verification environment for ECHONET Lite equipment.

- KAIT Workshop Building (Kait Kobo)

The KAIT Workshop Building was born as a facility for creative activity that supports students' free productivity. Its original design features pillars that are randomly arranged in a wide space, without dividers, of about 2,000 square meters; it represents a forest. This unique workshop that fosters a creative environment is a symbol of Kanagawa Institute of Technology’s founding principle of "learning by manufacturing" This facility promotes the voluntary creative activities of students by providing work space to satisfy those whose interests range from wanting casual experiences to having dreams of pursuing manufacturing in earnest.

This busy facility provides various amenities to enhance campus life for students. On the first floor there is a McDonald's and a student travel center. The second floor has a student lounge and the Basic Education Support Center. The third floor has facilities exclusive to women.
Basic Education Support Center
At this center, students can receive individual tutoring in a variety of basic subjects to support their coursework.
Women’s Facilities Floor
This area is set up for the comfort of female students. In addition to its spacious lobby, it has individual lockers, shower rooms, refreshment rooms, and other luxuries.
- "Snacks to go" for students busy with their studies, or they can enjoy meals at the eat-in space with free drink refills.
- Provides plenty of travel packages with student discounts, with optional subsidies available from the university.

- Ikutoku Kaikan Hall

This is a student hall whose name commemorates Ikutoku College of Technology, the predecessor of Kanagawa Institute of Technology. In addition to a student cafeteria (Cafeteria #2), it has a bookstore/kiosk, PC station, the English Lounge and, on the second floor, the International Center.
English Lounge
The aim of this facility is to extend students' familiarity with English and expand their international perspective. It features a program to increase communication and presentation skills in English as well as fostering general language skills.
International Center
This center provides specialized staff members who promote and support international programs, overseas training/study abroad programs, and acceptance of foreign students. In addition to proactively producing unique international programs, it offers various consultations at the International Lounge, a place of exchange between international students and Japanese students.

- KAIT Arena

A gymnasium complex integrating various fields and courts, each meeting official collegiate sports standards it has a seating capacity of 2,000 spectators.Fields/Courts
The complex has 10 different athletic spaces. The arena can host events in volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, judo, kendo, boxing, and wrestling. There is a court for futsal (a form of soccer) on the roof.
Training Room
This room has the latest training equipment and the support of specialized coaches.

- KAIT Stadium

A multipurpose stadium, measuring 95m by 120m, its original design is based on Yokohama Stadium and Major League Baseball stadiums. It has same type of artificial turf as that of Yokohama Stadium. The KAIT Stadium has dugouts, locker rooms, management and coach rooms, a broadcasting room and night-lighting equipment. It also has an indoor multi-purpose practice room.

- Soccer & Rugby Field and Track

This all-weather, full-scale field has four 400m tracks and five 100m straightaways. The center of the field is completely covered with artificial turf and can be used for soccer or rugby. There is also an adjacent archery field.

- Tennis Court

There are 4 tennis courts of all- weather type, and the courts have big repulsion elasticity and are superior in injury prevention effects. In addition, we use maintenance free materials, and the lightning setup is prepared for practices in night time.

This facility houses the laboratories and practical training rooms for the Departments of Nursing and Clinical Engineering.

- KAIT ERIM (Female Share House)

An on campus share house for female students that represents the trendy concept of life-study connection. In addition to private rooms, a large dining hall, socialization areas, and a group study space are available for students to enrich their opportunities to get to know each other.

- KAIT PLAZA

A beautiful and unique square, just like Piazza del Campo in Siena, Italy.The floor has a curved slope like the Piazza, and the entire space is covered by a huge steel plate roof, creating an environment that allows various activities in a comfortable outdoor ambiance. This is an innovative setting with no set rules where students can freely create and enjoy their activities led by imagination. Same as the KAIT Kobo workshop, this unique square is a work of architect Junya Ishigami.
