International Symposium on Advanced Vehicle Control, AVEC’22, was held online and in the meta verse space
This international symposium, which has a 30-year history, is led by the Vehicle Dynamics and Performance Committee of the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan, Inc. and has been held every two years on a rotating basis in Japan, Asia, Europe, and the United States since its first meeting in Yokohama in 1992. It has earned a high reputation as an international conference on vehicle dynamics performance with its origin in Japan.
This year's conference, the first to be held in Japan in eight years, will mark the 30th anniversary of the conference and will be held under the concept of the developing new ideas based on study of the past with the slogan of “Reborn of Dynamics” to focus on vehicle dynamics control for advanced vehicles, as well as advanced elemental technologies for automated driving and their organic crossing and integration, using online and metaverse spaces to deepen discussions among automotive engineers and researchers from academia and industry. It also aims to develop human resources with broad perspective and to the advancement of this academic field, and to the realization of a prosperous mobility society.
