Educational Exchange Agreement with Tōyō High School

Signing of Educational Exchange Agreement with Tōyō High School

On November 6, our university held a signing ceremony for an educational exchange agreement with Tōyō High School, a private institution located in Shizuoka Prefecture.

During the ceremony, Vice Principal Hajime Kanazashi of Tōyō High School and President Tetsuri Inoue of our university exchanged views on future collaborative initiatives.

Vice Principal Kanazashi commented:
"Tōyō High School offers a general curriculum with specialized tracks designed to enhance comprehensive academic skills, including English-Mathematics Advanced, Special Advanced, and General courses. We also provide programs aimed at fostering globally active individuals, such as International Studies and Study Abroad courses. Our school places strong emphasis on overseas study, offering a three-month program in Australia for the International Studies track and a one-year program in Canada for the Study Abroad track, with 40–50 students participating annually. While many students previously pursued humanities fields, we are seeing an increasing number choosing science and engineering. Some students already aspire to enroll at your university, and we hope this partnership will lead to a long-lasting relationship."

President Inoue added:
"Our university began as a technical college and has evolved to include departments in information technology and healthcare in response to societal changes. When I assumed my position 30 years ago, most students were male and focused on engineering, but today we have more female students and expanded fields such as health and medical sciences. However, our founding philosophy of nurturing individuals who contribute to society remains unchanged. We look forward to working together to support students interested in diverse academic fields."
