Signing of Educational Exchange Agreement with Haguro High School October 31, 2025
On October 29, our university hosted a signing ceremony for an educational exchange agreement with Haguro High School, a private institution located in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture.
During the ceremony, Principal Kazushi Kato of Haguro High School and President Tetsuri Inoue of our university signed the agreement and exchanged views on future collaborative initiatives.
Principal Kato commented:
"Haguro High School is located at the foot of Mount Haguro, one of the sacred Three Mountains of Dewa, and celebrates its 63rd anniversary this year. Originally established as an industrial high school, we changed our name to Haguro High School in 1989 and now offer both general and industrial courses. The general course includes three tracks: Advanced Studies, International Studies, and Career Design. The industrial course offers programs in Information Technology, Mechanical Systems, and Automotive Systems. Our students enjoy a fulfilling school life in these diverse learning environments, and we also have a strong record in sports competitions. We look forward to exploring various forms of exchange through this agreement."
President Inoue added:
"Our university began as a technical college 62 years ago. While adapting to societal changes, we have expanded to include departments in information technology and healthcare, yet our founding philosophy of nurturing individuals who contribute to society remains unchanged. Last year, we reorganized into three faculties and ten departments to provide diverse learning opportunities. Many of our programs align with those offered at Haguro High School, and we hope to advance human resource development through collaboration and shared educational resources."
