Delegation from Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy Visits for Strengthened Collaboration on Geriatric Nursing Education

From May 19 to 22, 2025, a delegation from Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Vietnam), a partner institution of Kanagawa Institute of Technology, visited our campus. The delegation included five faculty members led by Vice President Dr. Nguyen The Diep.

Since the 2023 academic year, the nursing departments of both universities have been collaborating under the JICA Grassroots International Cooperation Project to support the introduction of geriatric nursing education in Vietnam. Together, the institutions are working to co-develop educational resources such as syllabi and textbooks, with the goal of establishing a sustainable nursing education framework.

On the first day of the visit, President Tetsuri Inoue introduced the university’s educational system and learning environment, followed by a lively exchange of ideas to deepen mutual understanding. The Thai Binh faculty also conducted and reviewed model lessons, leading to the confirmation of concrete directions for future collaboration. The visit is expected to further accelerate the progress of the joint project.

Kanagawa Institute of Technology remains committed to advancing international nursing education and contributing to local and global communities.
