Educational Exchange Agreement with Kanagawa Prefectural Ashigara High School

Signing Ceremony Held for Educational Exchange Agreement with Kanagawa Prefectural Ashigara High School

On September 17, our university hosted a signing ceremony to formalize an educational exchange agreement with Kanagawa Prefectural Ashigara High School.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Hiroyuki Kishikawa, Principal of Ashigara High School, and Dr. Tetsuri Inoue, President of our university. Both parties signed the agreement and engaged in a meaningful discussion on future collaborative initiatives.

Principal Kishikawa remarked, “Ashigara High School has been designated by the Kanagawa Prefectural Board of Education as a pilot school for promoting inclusive education, and this marks our ninth year in that role. As a result of our commitment to fostering a symbiotic society, many of our students pursue careers in nursing and welfare. Furthermore, our location along the Odakyu Line offers convenient access, which has contributed to a significant number of our graduates enrolling at your university. I hope this agreement will serve as a foundation for even deeper collaboration moving forward.”

President Inoue commented, “Our university was originally established as an institute of technology. Since then, we have expanded to include faculties such as Informatics and, more recently, Nursing and other healthcare-related disciplines. From the beginning, we have focused on cultivating professionals who meet the evolving needs of society. Having served as a faculty member until last year, I have witnessed firsthand the increasing diversity among our students. This makes collaboration with high schools more important than ever. I look forward to advancing educational exchange through this partnership.”

This agreement marks a significant step toward strengthening ties between secondary and higher education, with the shared goal of nurturing the next generation of professionals.
