Event Report
Lantern Night
On March 27th, “Lantern Night” was organized at KAIT Plaza, attracting participants from various age groups—including young children, high school students, and members of the Aikawa Town Handicraft Group—who all enjoyed the “nighttime atmosphere of KAIT Plaza.”
On the day of the event, participants created lanterns at KAIT TOWN, which were then displayed at KAIT Plaza. Additionally, LED lighting by Professor Misu, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and projection mapping by Associate Professor Kitamoto, Department of Information Media, were showcased at KAIT Plaza.
Lantern lights and projection mapping
KAIT Plaza, which offers a mysterious atmosphere even during the daytime, was transformed into a magical space by the lantern lights and projection mapping. This created a wonderful moment that moved not only the participants but also the students involved in the event.
Motivated by the desire to make many people aware of and enjoy KAIT Plaza, the students who will graduate in 2024, organized this event as their last project following the "KAIT Plaza Photo Contest." The Center for Regional Collaboration and Contribution, which supported the event, plans to continue organizing events that utilize KAIT Plaza in the future, using this event as a springboard.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in this event.
