Agreement Signed with Kanagawa Prefectural Oiso Senior High School for Educational Exchange
On Oct. 3rd, the signing ceremony for an educational exchange agreement with Kanagawa Prefectural Oiso Senior High School took place at KAIT. At the signing ceremony, Masumi 立花, Principal of Kanagawa Prefectural Oiso Senior High School, and Kazumi Komiya, Principal of the university, signed the agreement and exchanged opinions on future initiatives. Principal 立花 expressed her expectations for the collaboration by stating, “Our school, which will soon celebrate its 100th anniversary, has been selected as a ‘Global Education Research Promotion School’ by the prefectural Board of Education. In addition to speech contests and the acceptance of international students, the school also organized a study trip to Australia for the first time this summer. The participating students reported that the training was rewarding. The school also focuses on inquiry-based learning, which is carried out in collaboration with businesses and universities. We hope that this collaboration will be an opportunity for us to utilize your excellent facilities and seek your support for our educational activities.”
Principal Komiya also commented, “The University celebrated its 60th anniversary last year, and this year we have reorganized the undergraduate departments and made a fresh start. Like your school, which is committed to global education, our university is also making efforts to nurture human resources who can play an active role internationally, such as through agreements with schools overseas. We look forward to working with your school, which is also committed to inquiry-based learning, to utilize our educational resources to deepen the interests of your students in concrete ways.”
