We held a signing ceremony for an agreement on educational exchange with Kanagawa Prefectural Tsukui Senior High School on Aug. 29th.

At the signing ceremony, 熊坂和也, Principal of Kanagawa Prefectural Tsukui Senior High School, and Kazumi Komiya, Principal of the University, signed the agreement and exchanged opinions on future initiatives. Principal 熊坂 expressed his expectations for future collaboration activities, commenting, “Our school, which has been in operation for over 120 years, currently offers both regular and welfare courses, as well as a part-time course. The Welfare Department would like to use the knowledge of nursing care robots and other equipment that will be introduced in the field of nursing care in the future, which KAIT is researching. In inquiry-based learning activities, we’d like to collaborate including the regular course. We hope this collaboration will be a new beginning for our school.” Principal Komiya stated “The university, which celebrated its 60th anniversary last year, has reorganized its undergraduate departments and started fresh this year. We hope that your school, which trains caregivers, will utilize the faculty and educational resources of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences and the Department of Information Systems, which researches nursing care robots, to train personnel who will be an asset in the ever-increasing demand for nursing care
