In the spring semester of 2024, we are welcoming international students from three universities; Chulalongkorn University and Bangkok University, Thailand, and The Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya (PENS), Indonesia,  who participate in the programs of study and cultural experience intended for the students from affiliated universities of KAIT.

As a part of this active program, auto-driving AI racing of cars was contested by the students from the above three universities and KAIT.  Begun with the AI instructions from Professor Toshihiro Wakita and Seiji Komiya from Department of Mechanical Engineering, KAIT, the race was run by the racers from each team after they designed their own self-driving AI.  The Grand Prix competition heated the audience from all schools as they raced so intensely manifesting the dead heat of each racer.

The winner, Kristasakorn Pengin, Chulalongkorn University, said “In the AI racing car activity, my friends and I enjoyed this activity very much because it's easy and quick to understand how AI learns. This activity also allowed exchange students and Japanese students to practice communication skills. I hope there will be such activities every year and that they will be organized for students around KAIT.”
