Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for New Laboratory and Research Building at KAIT TOWN

The groundbreaking ceremony for the new Laboratory and Research Building at KAIT TOWN was held on Wednesday, Mar. 1st at the site where the KAIT TOWN building is to be constructed. Kenichiro Nakabe, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, President Kazumi Komiya, and other related parties, as well as the construction company in charge of design and construction, and the air conditioning and electrical equipment companies attended the ceremony.

The KAIT TOWN building will be completed in March 2024. The key concept of the KAIT TOWN building is to connect Kanagawa Institute of Technology with the local community, and to open the tangible and intangible values of the university to them.

The new experimental laboratory building is a fluid, heat, and welding experimental laboratory facility and is scheduled for completion in January 2024.
