Professor Kazutake Uehira of the Department of Information Network and Communication was awarded the title of Fellow by the Institute of Image Electronics Engineers of Japan

Professor Kazutake Uehira of the Department of Information Network and Communication was awarded the title of Fellow by the Institute of Image Electronics Engineers of Japan at its annual conference held on Sep. 1st. Fellow is a title awarded to members who have made particular contributions in the areas of academic achievement, revitalization of society activities, educational and social activities, and standardization activities. This year, two members were presented with fellow titles, and Professor Uehira was selected as one of them for his outstanding achievements in pioneering research activities in image input, processing, and high-reality communications, and for his contributions to the development of the society.

Professor Uehira commented, "I am very pleased that I was recognized for my research activities and contributions to the academic society. I will continue to make further efforts in my research and educational activities so that I can contribute not only to the academic society but also to society at large”.
